We Are Time

"We Are Time" is based off the Greek god, Cronus; and Roman god, Saturn. Cronus (Saturn) was the god of Time and Harvest. His weapon was a scythe. Often, he is also known as Old Father Time.

Cronus was the son of Uranus, and a ruling Titan. He married Rhea, and their offspring became the first of the Olympians. Cronus was brutal and to ensure his own safety, he ate his children. Rhea was upset by this, and when Zeus was born, she tricked him into eating a rock. This did end up being the end of Cronus, as Zeus revolted and defeated the Titans.

Cronus escaped to Italy and there, he ruled as Saturn. This period of time is known to be a golden age, and was celebrated by the Saturnalia feast. In Athens, this celebration is called Kronia, in honor of Cronus.
